| Student Activity Fee Information-AHSTS This page is provided in order to inform parents and students about the Activity Fees for 2011-14. As many of you know, the School Committee eliminated funding for most after-school activities from 2009 to 2011. Families were required to pay a participation fee in order to compensate for the lost funding and to keep these activities running. In the recent contract between the Teacher's Union and the School Committee, they agreed that it would be beneficial to the students of Ashland Public Schools if the co-curricular and academic stipends are not required to be fee-based. They also agreed for the school years covered under this three year bargaining agreement (2011-2014) that the stipends will be paid for from the general fund operating budget for the school department as part of the total compensation package agreed to in the settlement of this contract. | |
